Introduction To-Be
To-Be brings matters of the heart and soul stirrings to life in music, poetry, and personal experience stories.
In the context of building a new world together, they collaborated with, among others Masaru Emoto, Marcel Messing and the Dutch Princes Irene.
They brought their music internationally to places of power such as Machu Picchu and Morray in Peru, Island of the Sun and Moon in Lake Titicaca in Bolivia, Gaia Square in Hong Kong, India, Dendera and Luxor Egypte, Glastonbury England, Montserrat Spain, Jerusalem, De Montsegur and Rennes le Chateau in the Cathar region of France.
To highlight the special qualities of people with Down syndrome, they made an album with 18 songs, which they released together with their daughter (singer Belinda Vermeer) under the name "La Familia".
With La Familia they present their own theater concerts in the Netherlands, and they also perform internationally. Their goal with La Familia is above all to bring joy, touch hearts and connect people. In terms of repertoire, they perform a wide range from Opera to small sensitive songs and everything in between. Singer/Songwriter Carla van der Veldt
Carla van der Veldt is a singer/songwriter, a poet and initiator of peace events. (For example, last year she brought together 1000 women in her own country to sing together for a non-violent path to world peace. Carla: “The coming year my goal is to fill a football stadium with entire families, children, men and women, who will sing together for world peace... with the intention that this initiative will be replicated in other countries around the world. Football stadiums where people would otherwise compete for victory... and now connect for Love and Peace on earth.”
Singer/Songwriter/piano player Paul Rosenboom
Paul composes the music on the lyrics Carla writes. He sings, composes and plays the piano. Together with Carla he makes songs for the new world, for nature, for peace, for love, about social issues and about their own process of spiritual awareness.
Paul: It is a privilege for the both of us to bring our music to this inspiring event and contribute in our own way to the unification of the beautiful people gathering there, in order to spread the energy out to the rest of the world.
